Since releasing their debut EP The Express in 2016, Port Royal have been on the up and up. Their resume for the last two years includes a healthy amount of radio play, a well received 11 date tour, and support slots with heavy hitters like The Delta Riggs and The Cherry Dolls. One of Brisbane’s top rock outfits, Port Royal prove through there many successes that the genre is not dead. But in their new single and video, they seem to suggest the opposite – ‘Rock & Roll Is Dead’. The irony is, that with such a powerful and rollicking track, including soaring high vocal notes, face melting guitar riffs, a particular hard hitting chorus and of course a brilliant guitar solo, they prove how alive and well the genre truly is.
