Moonlover (a.k.a Quang Dinh, previously of Little Red) has dropped his latest video clip for his new single Queen of Sheba, right in time for February’s New Moon.

Sounding like a cosmic adventure, with its subtle layering of playful synth and a punchy drum rhythm, Queen of Sheba is another cool track and the third single off his already promising forthcoming debut album Thou Shall Be Free, due out March 2nd.

Helped by a psychedelic video clip accompanying the tune, we’re taken on a reggae-funk trip for three minutes but wishing it were longer. Queen of Sheba was released exclusively last month on RRR and Rolling Stone with the perfect description of the track saying “[Queen of Sheba is] taking a puff/pass split of straight-up reggae and funk down a heady Gonjasufi-esque mystic, mind-wandering path.”

‘Queen of Sheba’ builds on Moonlover’s idiosyncratic style, laden with sonic surprises, and every listen brings something new to the experience.
