Richard Linklater’s ambitious feature starring Ethan Hawke (Dead Poet’s Society, Before Midnight) and Particia Arquette (Medium, Holes) is fast becoming an indie favourite. A fictional drama made with the same group of actors over a 12-year period (from 2002-2013), the film follows central character Mason (Ellar Coltrane) through his childhood, adolescence and into adulthood.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

The city needs heroes, and everyones favourite artist-named turtles are back! Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Foxy Megan Fox (Transformers, Jennifer’s Body) and Will Arnett (The Lego Movie, Arrested Development) co-star in this re-vamped, kiddie action adventure.

Maze Runner:

Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) wakes up in the Glade, an oasis in the middle of a huge maze. He is surrounded by other boys his age, who like him, have no idea how they got there. The boys try to find a way out of the maze every day, but no one has escaped. Although he has no memory, the maze seems familiar… Definitely one for the sci-fi lovin’ teen.

Maze Runner is in cinemas on September 18.
