Melbourne’s Oh Mercy, headed by songwriter Alex Gow, have announced their When We Talk About Love national album tour.
Written across three American cities and then home, Alex has described the album as his most personal to date, stating “Its genetics are the sum of my musical loves. Bacharach, Cohen, The Triffids. Grand, proud and not self-conscious. I accessed all that I’ve learnt, all that I know, or think I know, and importantly, all that I love, to create this record.”
Having recently sold out their Sandy 7″ at launch shows, this new Oh Mercy album tour will see Gow and his indie-rock four-piece travel the country throughout August and September.
In the meantime – and to wet your appetite – Oh Mercy have dropped a new music clip for ‘If You Come Around Tonight‘.
Gow’s old-school rocker vocals ease over a gentle guitar riff and drum beat. The intimate video sees Gow strumming his acoustic guitar in the window of an apartment block, while a pretty blonde dances in the room next door – as if serenading her through the wall.
Alex is doing a secret solo set for at Parlour gigs too. It is a small house style party, tickets are incredibly limited & available now HERE!
When We Talk About Love is due out June 19.
