Melbournian five-piece band, Love Migrate, have returned with their lead single ‘Pippa’s In The Highlands‘ from upcoming EP, Shimmer Through The Night

‘Pippa’s In The Highlands’ is a stunning, melancholy, melodically driven song that hints at nonchalance, but is ‘devoted to the loss of love and the anxieties that arise from it’.

The acoustic textures in ‘Pippa’s In The Highlands” is almost reminiscent of pop rock bands in the late 90s and early 2000s, such as Powderfinger and Grinspoon, evoking a sense of welcomed nostalgia too.

Shimmer Through The Night was sporadically recorded throughout 2014, in warehouses and bedrooms within Melbourne’s northern suburbs. These songs are a stepping stone to the band’s next long player, to be recorded in Aireys Inlet over the coming months.

Love Migrate will launch their newest collection of music at The Gasometer Hotel in May, and will be joined by fellow Melbournians Sunbeam Sound Machine and Crepes.

Shimmer Through The Night will be released digitally on Friday 22nd of May via Flightless/ Remote Control Records.
