Brisbane band Last Dinosaurs have unveiled their latest single ‘Apollo’, from their hotly anticipated sophomore album Wellness, plus a run of national tour dates.
‘Apollo’ is a shimmering slice of pop, with sunny solos and a bass line ready for the dance floor. Lead singer and guitarist Sean Caskey explains “It’s about the scene in The Matrix when Neo is offered the red pill and the blue pill by Morpheus. The moment in time when someone who’s curious about something more, to take the dive on the edge of uncertainty into an alternative life.”
The band took two months of much-needed downtime last summer and headed south to The Grove studios on the sleepy Central Coast of NSW to record Wellness. They recruited producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, The Presets, Empire of the Sun) for the album, and his legendary portfolio brought a wealth of experience to the project.
Last Dinosaurs have only just wrapped up their national ‘Evie’ tour, which saw the band play to sold-out crowds across the country. This tour will include some of the largest venues the band have headlined to date, including all ages and under 18 shows.
Last Dinosaurs will perform on the Amphitheatre stage at Splendour In The Grass on Sunday July 26.
