We spoke to L-FRESH The LION about his favourite photos, quotes and guilty pleasure follows on Instagram.
What is your favourite photo that you have taken?
Where was it, why is it your favourite?
It’s gotta be this photo of Erykah Badu.
It was taken at her most recent concert at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne. It was a really special night. We had some really great seats, which meant that I was able to get a real nice close-up shot of her on stage. I felt like a professional after taking this one haha.
You post a lot of quotes on Instagram, which one means the most to you?
“Why blend in when you were born to stand out”. I live by this one. Every day. It’s a repost from another account that I follow.
There is no other me. And in this world, there is no other you. Why try to be like everybody else? We each have our own story to tell. So tell it. And we each have our own journey. So live it.
Who is your favourite artist to follow?
My favourite artist to follow is my co-MC and my sister, MIRRAH. She’s always sharing such positivity and love on her Instagram page. That energy becomes infectious. She’ll always share something that’ll lift my spirits.
Who is your favourite artist to appear in one of your photos?
KRS-One. Seeing this photo brings back memories of meeting him and hanging out with him. It was on that same day that he recorded the freestyle which appears at the beginning of my album.
Do you have any guilty pleasure follows?
I love following this Simpsons Clips account. I’m a huge Simpsons fan, though I don’t get to watch it often these days, since I don’t own a TV. So browsing through that page brings back some good memories and laughs.
