Folkstar Husky will make his return to the music world after time spent writing and recording.

Alongside his bandmates, Gideon Preiss and Evan Tweedie, Husky will be joined by on-stage drummer Arron Light for a headline tour which will snake its way around the country, stopping to play in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Fremantle, Sydney and Brisbane.

Husky’s music is made in a natural way with lots of acoustics and authentic instrumentation. He is a good storyteller through song, and has the knack of transporting the listener to a world where they can absorb into it, as if it was their own.

His new song carries the sentiment of leaving something behind. Fittingly, Husky saw much of this departure from his makeshift studio. His studio space lay below a flightpath, where the flickering lights of the planes were like stars at night.

‘I’m Not Coming Back’ is the first song we will hear, to be released on June 30.

It will give a little insight into what is to come from the Melbourne local. His second LP is scheduled for release when things start to defrost and begin to bloom in Spring.

Songs off his much loved debut LP Forever So (2011) will be played during his tour, along with his new collection of work. The band toured extensively throughout the US and Europe after Husky’s debut record, and are set to do it all over again.
