Springtime in Melbourne is an undeniably great time of year. To celebrate the warmer weather and good times that await us, Howler’s bandroom will host the screening event Howler’s Spring Break Cinema every Tuesday night in October. The program will feature films that incorporate our favourite balmy weather pastimes of kicking back in the sun, listening to great music and enjoying a beverage or two.
Set in the early 90s, L For Leisure is a dialogue-driven, nostalgia-fueled slice of cinema. Directors Lev Kalman and Whitney Horn have perfectly captured a moment in time, and John Atkinson‘s original chillwave soundtrack is the perfect accompaniment for this sun-soaked film. Throw on a hypercolour t-shirt, crack open a Snapple, and get mellow.
General Admission Sales close at 6:00pm on Tuesday 7th October.
Ticket prices are $15.00 per person (plus $3.00 online booking fee).
L for Leisure will be screened at 7pm on Tuesday 7th October at Howler (7 – 11 Dawson Street Brunswick. Directly opposite Brunswick Baths).
