Havana Meets Kingston, a critically acclaimed album released on November 3rd, 2017, with rave recognition on Billboard’s Reggae & World Music Charts and ranking in the Top 5 on iTunes World Charts is announcing a live 15 person band tour. Featuring a clash between roots reggae, dub, and dancehall with salsa, and rumba in the mix. An intoxicating mixture of Carribean beats coming from two islands- Cuba and Jamaica, is ready to make its debut international tour in Australia and New Zealand. With only five nights across Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and New Plymouth; it is an event of a lifetime considering it is very likely not going to be replicated ever again.
Some of the exciting artists who will be featured are Sly and Robbie, arguably one of the most influential rhythm sections on the planet and considered the premiere architects of the modern sound of Jamaican music; Rolando Luna, gifted award-winning pianist, arranger, and composer across multiple disciplines: Jazz, Cuban, Carribean, and concert piano styles; and one of the original members and incidentally the newest member of the Buena Vista Social Club– Barbarito Torres (aged 64!) will also be making an appearance.

But of course, new talents are being discovered constantly, and Havana Meets Kingston is pleased to announce two upcoming artists who will also be performing alongside with this lineup of legendary musical talents. Brenda Naverette hailing from Cuba has worked with Jazz artist Joaquin Bentacourt and the internationally acclaimed band Interactivo. Randy Valentine, from Jamaica/UK having worked with major artists such as Major Lazor and Wu Tang. These two incredibly young and talented artists responsible for spearheading the latest sounds coming from Jamaica and Cuba is reason enough to attend.
