The annual Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) has released an exclusive sneak peak at this year’s program.

Fresh off the plane from Cannes, MIFF are bursting to share their first titles, with 2015 boasting an eclectic selection of narrative features, documentaries and short films for every taste.

Guy Maddin’s homage to lost classic Hollywood, Jafar Panahi’s Berlinale Best Film winner, Larry Clark’s latest provocation and Lav Diaz‘s new, deeply affecting social drama – and more  -are all in the teaser program of narrative features for MIFF 2015.

Commemorating the world premiere at MIFF of Another Country, organisers have programmed a retrospective on star David Gulpilil, and will welcome him to Melbourne for an exclusive in-conversation event with Margaret Pomeranz, co-presented with The Wheeler Centre

The Centrepiece Gala film has finally been announced – Neil Armfield‘s Holding The Man.

MIFF have international festival award winners, new films from old favourites and debut features from first-time directors, as well as star vehicles. The program covers comedy, future LGBTIQ classics, romance, drama, literary adaptations as well as our previously announced Next Gen films, which are acessible to audiences of all ages.

This year’s vibrant festival artwork is by illustrators We Buy Your Kids.
