The J Files will return to the airwaves on Thursday 21st August, with the relaunch of their much anticipated program being simulcast through Double J and triple j. Every Thursday night the program will be broadcast from Double J, and will be presenting an artist, album or theme, as well as featuring interviews, reviews the return of The J Files Quiz.
With over 40 years of Triple J archives, rarities and live recordings, The J Files will provide listeners with a one-stop destination to discover and learn more about your favourite artists than ever before. A different host will present a different artist each week, and Richard Kingsmill will be kicking it off by welcoming rockers Something For Kate, exploring their importance to the Australian music scene, whilst diving into the archive to dig up audio from over the years. This will be followed in the coming weeks by Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan and Riot Grrrl.
The listener will also be able to get involved through the Triple J website, Facebook, The J Files and also by tagging #JFiles on Twitter. The J Files will be on 8-10pm Thursdays with an encore Sunday nights at 9pm, available on mobile, digital radio, on Channel 200 on digital TV and online at www.doublej.net.au.
