The dynamic and unique school that is Collarts have announced their latest creative course with the new Bachelor of Applied Business (Fashion Marketing) degree. Collarts is now taking applications for the new Fashion Marketing Degree, available at their Collingwood campus.

After Collarts acquired the Mercer School of Interior Design in early 2017, the creative arts specialists have continued to expand its range of diplomas and degrees across multiple streams. Offering courses in music, entertainment, creative content and design, the new Fashion Marketing Degree slots in seamlessly to complete their rapidly evolving creative disciplines.

Collarts has established the Fashion Marketing Degree primarily for those seeking careers in the areas of fashion styling, event management, marketing and business. The Fashion Marketing Degree will equip students with comprehensive industry knowledge and hands-on workplace experience, with the intention of students being career-ready upon completion of the two-year course.

Lead by accomplished fashion educator Dr. Rachel Matthews, students will be mentored by field experts currently working for established brands, fashion houses and agencies. It will have students immersed in all areas of fashion business and gaining real-life workplace experience through Collarts’ leading industry partnerships.

Dr. Rachel Matthews has quite the impressive CV and will be the perfect acquisition for Collarts’ new Fashion Marketing Degree. Matthews was previously the head of the Melbourne School of Fashion and the Academic Coordinator of Fashion at Holmes Institute in Australia.

Matthews also has over 10 years’ industry experience in the UK at Middlesex UniversityChelsea College of Art and Design, Central/St Martin’s College of Art and Design and worked as a Design Consultant for HighFashion UK Ltd.

Additionally, Matthews was Fashion Illustrator for Little Tailleur, and is a Member of Zine Collective the Sticky Institute, just to name a selection of her positions. Dr. Rachel Matthews will be an invaluable asset to the course and is excited to share her wealth of knowledge with the next generation of fashion developers in 2018 at Collarts.
