Australian electro pop/r&b duo Collarbones will be heading on tour in February to celebrate the launch of their third album Return, out through Remote Control.
The dynamic double, made up of Adelaide’s Travis Cooke with production and Sydney’s Marcus Whale on vocals/sampling, have enjoyed ever-growing hype since their 2011 debut LP Iconography. They have since made leaps and bounds on a national scale; supporting Jessie Ware, Deerhunter and How To Dress Well, collaborating with Synergy Percussion at Vivid Sydney, and traversing with fellow electronic dynamos/friends Rainbow Chan, Guerre, Oscar Key Sung and Martin King.
Return has been described as ‘ambitious, adventurous, clever and considered’ by Thump, and ‘indicative of what is able to be achieved in a musical sense in the 21st century’ by FasterLouder. We would have to agree with these sentiments.
Check out the full lineup below, as well as the trippy ’80s/Microsoft mashup video for the infectious single ‘Turning’.
