After a well-earned but short musical break, Bernard Fanning has returned home and announced that he’ll be hitting the road for a tour in late January 2015.

Kicking off in Brisbane, the tour will see Fanning play a run of shows including two in Sydney and one in Melbourne as part of the Zoo Twilight Sessions, as well as a show at the picturesque Margaret River. The tour will showcase some of Fanning’s new material from his forthcoming album as well as much loved songs from 2005’s solo breakthrough Tea & Sympathy and 2013’s Departures.

While Fanning fronted Powderfinger for 21 years, he has since forged himself a successful solo career — winning the 2006 ARIA Award for Songwriter of the Year. Joining him on tour is Sydney based indie folk outfit Little May.

Tickets go on sale at 9AM on Thursday October 30 and you can check out the full tour dates below.
