Hiatus Kaiyote are among the first group of artists announced to perform at this year’s Australian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME), which is to be held between the 13th and 16th of November across a range of Melbourne venues including The Arts Centre, The Toff, Shebeen, The Hi-Fi, Ding Dong and Lounge.

Each year the festival showcases some of the finest Australian and international blues and roots acts; last year’s performers including The Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Warren H. Williams, The Cactus Channel and The Orbweavers. As well as music, there will be around 500 local and international  music and arts industry professionals delivering speeches throughout the event.

The first Australian acts announced on the lineup for the 2014 AWME are: Hiatus Kaiyote, Ash Grunwald, Bart Willoughby, Jimblah, The Pierce Brothers, Ms Murphy and Bullhorn.

International acts announced on the first lineup: Nahko and Medicine for the People (USA), Digging Roots (Canada), Estere (NZ), and Myele Manzanza (NZ).
