‘5 old VW camper vans. 4 bands. 3 thousand miles. 2 weeks. 1 gloriously backwards tour.’
Documenting the highs and lows of touring, Austin to Boston, Featuring Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett and narrated by Gill Landry,  showcases a modern muso tour, done the old fashioned way.
Running successful screenings at Film Festivals around the globe, Austin to Boston has received high accolades from the BFI London Film Festival, IDFA, Nashville Film Festival and many more.
Starting the film after a fire-fuelled final night at Austin’s South by South-West Music Festival, the documentary follows feature bands Ben Howard, The Staves, Nathaniel Rateliff and Bear’s Den as they travel northeast, gigging at bars, barns, rooms and rooftops.
With Post-production for the film done right here in Melbourne by co-producer Ty Johnson’s Sideshow Alley team, the Australian Premiere is extra special for all involved.
