This November marks the seventh year of The Australasian Worldwide Music Expo. Joining Ash Grunwald, Hiatus Kaiyote and Melbourne Ska Orchestra will be singer/songwriter Pete Murray. Murray will be making his first appearance at AWME, along with Sydney-based artist Declan Kelly. Kelly will be staging his Diesel ‘n’ Dub project, taking the classic Midnight Oil album and reinventing it with his reggae-dub.

Chelsea Wilson and Rita Satch will be making make their debut appearance at AWME, showcasing their modern day take on soul and jazz. Fellow Melbourne-based band Oh Pep! will take to the stage for the first time with their contemporary folk.

Cassandra Williams and Stewart Gaykamangu will be representing the Northern Territory. Both are on the CAAMA Music label, as well as reggae group Tjintu Desert Band, who will make the big trip from the remote communtiy of Ikuntji (Haasts Bluff) west of Alice Springs.

Batacuda Sound Machine will make their way over from New Zealand to perform. Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson will travel from Scottish regions abroad to take part in the event, and Canada’s Kim Wepme has too been added to the line up.
