In another monthly instalment of their Club Night series, Red Bull Music Academy have enlisted Stones Throw’s Knxwledge to hit Australia’s shores for this year’s Splendour in the Grass, and a seven date national club tour.

Raised in New Jersey and Philadelphia, Knxwledge, born Glen Boothe, became a multi-instrumentalist at a young age after joining his church choir. This immersion in gospel music would heavily influence his jazz, soul and hip-hop infused sound.

Getting his start remixing tracks online in 2009, the artist has reached gone on to reach new heights. He has produced for the likes of underground hip-hop star, Joey Bada$$ on his 1999 mixtape, and current powerhouse Kendrick Lamar on his critically acclaimed sophomore album To Pimp A Butterfly.

After being snatched up by Stone Throw, the producer released his own debut album Hud Dreems in may, and formed R&B/hip-hop collaboration, NxWorries, with Mndsgn and with Anderson Paak.

If you’re a hip hop faithful in need of an evening out, don’t miss out on this!
