Jeremy Neale has just announced an 80’s inspired EP Let Me Go Out In Style which is available to pre-order and if that wasn’t enough he also has announced a new single ‘The Love Calling‘ out today!
‘The Love Calling’ was born a long time ago, in a headspace far away. It was a song Jeremy had always loved but could never find the right time to release. It wasn’t until he began work on Let Me Go Out In Style that it seemed its time had finally come.
Utilising the production skills of Liam Campbell and Miro Mackie, the song has been taken to its logical conclusion. Melodic pop permeated with an undeniable sadness, given extra intensity with the guest vocals of Harriette Pilbeam. ‘The Love Calling’ follows pop convention before delivering you into a hypnotic loop of choruses. Stay tuned for the eight-minute remix..
Sonically, it is heavily influenced by the vast landscape of 80’s Sophisti-pop and New Romantic music and owes heavily to these genres in terms of choice of instrumentation and production techniques. Male and female vocal interplay is a running theme across the six tracks, and was Jeremy’s way of drawing attention to the idea that all moments in a relationship are shared, even when it might feel like the weight is yours to carry alone.
Jeremy’ s back in a big way, the new EP ‘Let Me Go Out In Style‘ is due for release September 25 via Dot Dash / Remote Control Records.
Pre-order now on iTunes, or from Friday 4 September on CD and vinyl via Artist First.
