Late last year on a balmy summers night, Jazz Party recorded live at the John Curtin Hotel.

Track one, ‘Leave Some Beer For Old Hank’, is an ode to Hank Williams. It is written and sung by Darcy McNulty of Clairy Browne and The Bangin’ Rackettes, and features a honky-tonk piano solo by Hue Blaines and trumpet, singing and some impressive whistling from Harry Angus of The Cat Empire.

Track two, ‘Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay’ features Daniel Merriweather. Merriweather is summoned out of the crowd and you can hear him calling the tempo before launching into the Otis Redding classic.

Both songs are available for free download on Bandcamp.

The full band includes:
Saxaphone, vocals: Darcy McNulty
Piano, backing vocals: Hue Blaines
Trumpet, whistle, backing vocals: Harry Angus
Bass: Jules Pascoe
Trombone: Donny Stewart
Guitar: Aliester Campbell
Drums: Rory McDougal
