The third single from Jamie xx’s latest album, In Colour, has just seen a music video release. ‘I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)’ was directed by Rollo Jackson, and features Jamie xx alongside American hip-hop artist Young Thug and Jamaican reggae act Popcaan. Fittingly, the video was shot across both New York and Jamaica.
At the same time, British rapper and producer Skepta premiered a hyped up remix of the track, with it being played in full by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. The remix features Skepta as well as Frisco and Popcaan. You can listen to Skepta’s remix here.
Both ‘I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)’ and In Colour have been critical and commercial successess. Jamie xx is scheduled to return to Australia later in the year, with appearances at Beyond the Valley, Lost Paradise and FOMO.
