Reigning from the streets of Melbourne, Hip-Hop artist DEX is steadfastly becoming the one to watch. The 17 year-old has recently launched his EP, 16, played shows across the state and is now set to take his sound to the big stage.
Alongside beat maker Dom Cork, DEX recently dominated at the FReeZA Push Start ‘Unsigned Battle Of The Bands’. Featuring a selection of DEX’s latest tracks including summer hit ‘Up All Night’, ‘High On Life’ and ‘No Biggie’; the performance landed the young talent a spot on the St Kilda Festival Push Stage in 2016.
Reaching #14 on the iTunes hip-hop charts, DEX’s 16 blends a local conversational lyric with an intoxicating sound that is bound to bless your drunken campsite this summer. Teaming up with producers Cam Bluff, Dom Cork and Hamley and fellow artists Sam Edwards, Eloji, Nicky Rogalsky and Jordan St Quintin, the record is clearly an epic collaborative work.
DEX’s latest music clip for ‘Crazy’ showcases his home city, his boys and the musical journey he has been on from a young age. Singing, “This life is crazy baby”, it’s clear that this whirlwind ride is just starting for the upcoming hip-hop act.
