Amidst working on their second studio album, British indie-rockers Glass Animals have announced they will be returning to Australia in July for a small run of headline shows along the country’s east coast.

The aspiring four-piece are made up of childhood friends Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer and Joe Seaward, and released their debut album Zaba in June 2014, which featured the breakthrough single ‘Gooey‘.  The track was certified Gold in Australia – their first anywhere in the world – and placed at Number 12 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 2014 – the highest placed UK act for that year.

In 2015, the band played to massive crowds at festivals all over the world, including Outside Lands, Central Park Summer Stage, Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury.

Having been streamed over 20 million times to date in Australia alone, Glass Animals will return to Australian shores to unleash their unique brand of trippy synths, rhythmic guitars, and lyrical pleasures onto the masses.

The headline tour will kick off in Melbourne.
