Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Gawurra has announced his most expansive tour to date, featuring a string of intimate dates and festival slots all over the country.

The announcement comes off the back of an action packed 2016 for the storyteller, which included the release of his debut album Ratja Yaliyali and saw recognition in the form of four NIMA Awards, The NT Song of the Year Award and an ARIA nomination. Gawurra also took stage at a number of high profile events including NIMAs, The Age Music Victoria Awards, Sacred Edge Festival, and had special performances at Federation Square and BIGSOUND.

Gawurra’s culture, songlines, personal journey and musical sensitivity are deeply embedded in his soulful voice and songwriting, and the subtle production of the NT-based artist and producer Broadwing brought an understated electronic influence while creating a sparse soundscape throughout the album that is as organic as it is contemporary.
