Of all the David Bowie tributes to send your already fragile heart into another spasm of anguish, this is it.
Sydney rockers, Gang Of Youths, have honoured the late Thin White Duke with this celestial cover of 1977’s ‘Heroes’.
In a Facebook post yesterday, lead singer David Leaupepe, noted that ‘Heroes’ was influential in the end chorus of their track ‘Radioface’.
“At the risk of being trite, “Heroes” changed my life. And if you listen to the synth line in the end chorus of our track ‘Radioface’ very, very closely you can hear a small nod to ‘Heroes.'” he wrote.
The Newcastle rockers are set for a number of shows this year and we can only hope this cover makes it onto the set list.
