Irish singer/songwriter Foy Vance returns to Australia this December, announcing two intimate headline shows. Already in the country supporting international superstars Elton John and Ed Sheeran across multiple arena and stadium shows in December, Foy will take the stage for two very special stripped-back shows, showcasing his unique brand of soul-folk to music lovers and set to deliver a priceless live music experience.

Hailing from the outskirts of Belfast, Vance relocated to Oklahoma in the US as a child. The son of a traveling church minister, he spent time exploring the American South, absorbing the rich musical traditions to which he was exposed. It’s an experience that has deeply informed and shaped his musical horizons.

Foy has shared the stage with some of music’s biggest stars over the years including Bonnie Raitt, Ed Sheeran, Michael Kiwanuka and Snow Patrol among others. Most recently in Australia for performances at Bluesfest 2014, Foy also hit the stage with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals for a string of festival sideshows last year.

Right now, Foy Vance is working on a new album, set for release in 2016. No doubt Australian fans will get a taste of some of these songs when he returns for his third visit to Australia this November/December for what will be his biggest tour to date.
