Flight Facilities have been revealed as the secret headliners of the brand new Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival. Rejoice warm people on the Sunshine Coast, some seriously good Aussie tunes are coming your way.
Flight Facilities join a stellar lineup, featuring the likes of Hermitude, The Kite String Tangle, Alpine, One Day, DZ Deathrays, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gang Of Youths, Harts, Marlon Williams & The Yarra Benders and WAAX in Maroochydore on August 22.
Jimmy Lyell, half of the Flight Facilities duo, has expressed his enthusiasm to play on home turf:
“Festivals weren’t really around when I was growing up on the Coast, so being a part of something like this is really special to me. Not to mention how much fun playing a hometown show with all my friends is going to be!”
With the music well and truly catered for, Maroochy Festival has got your need for visual arts well sorted. After touring MONA, London, Tokyo and Berlin, Amada Palmer will exhibit her life-sized, illuminated, inflatable bunny installation ‘Intrude’.
A feast for the eyes and ears in Maroochydore this August. And if you’re even close to the Sunshine Coast make sure to nab some tickets — before it’s too late.
