First Aid Kit have released their new album today, titled Stay Gold.

The music duo know how to make full hearty music.

Their sound is embedded in rich folk textures and strong country tones. Their harmonies blend and truss with natural ease. It seems that their family ties have endowed them with that innate musical chemistry.

The Swedish sisters sound particularly fearless in their new track ‘My Silver Lining’ which is the first taste of their full LP.

The string section ascends and plummets powerfully, weaving through the song’s ebb and flow. It has a real melancholic tinge to its outer fringes and gives that distinctive sound that they are known for.

Their popularity first soared after they released a cover version of Fleet Foxes ‘Tiger Mountain Peasant Song’ in 2008. Since then the pair have toured the world, and will be back in Australia in July for Splendour in the Grass.
