Father John Mitsy – aka Josh Tilman – has announced he’ll play shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as Berry’s new Fairgrounds Festival while he’s in the country for Meredith Music Festival in December.
Tilman is one talented human: he formed part of Saxon Shore and Fleet Foxes before adopting the Father John Mitsy moniker for his first LP Fun Fear in 2013. His sophomore record I Love You, Honeybear dropped earlier this year, and – full of his signature folksy swells – received all round praise, luring a new legion of fans.
After playing the likes of Coachella, Glastonbury and Lollapalooza this year, he’s sure to know his way around a festival crowd. If you can’t catch him at Meredith in December, be sure to jump on board the new shows!
