Melbourne’s music community is set to welcome back the Darebin Music Feast this October, which brings together songwriting and music in all its forms at over 150 events in the city’s northern suburbs.

The 2014 Music Feast will run from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 19 October and present a mammoth number of events, in over 15 venues throughout Westgarth, Northcote, Thornbury, Preston and Reservoir. The best part about the community gelling event is the huge amount of free events, bringing together musical genres and flavours from all walks of life.

The diverse cross section of special guests for this years event include Mojo Juju, Pugsley Buzzard, The Wilson Pickers, Christopher Coleman Collective, Cherrywood, Ruby Boots and the Davidson Brothers plus artists on the rise, Archer and Rowena Wise.

The 2014 has incarnation has also put a greater focus on providing artists with development opportunities within the blossoming Australian music industry.

As well as a new Composition Competition led by Orkeztra Glasso Bashalde, The Push have also joined the party to bring a pop up free access industry development space to life with speaker panels co-presented by Music Victoria and hands-on workshops
