There’s no two ways about it, the line-up for Coachella 2015 is surprising. AC/DC headlining Friday? After previous lukewarm reactions to rock bands headlining, AC/DC is a brave and unexpected move from the Coachella organisers. But, after all, they are still one of the biggest rock bands in the world.
- 2014 – OutKast
- 2013 – Blur and The Stone Roses
- 2012 – The Black Keys
- 2011 – Kings of Leon
- 2010 – Jay-Z
This year Australia has some pretty great names pretty high up on the bill. With acts like Tame Impala, Kimbra, Chet Faker, Angus and Julia Stone, Alison Wonderland, and Triple J’s Hottest 100 2013 winner, Vance Joy all set to perform, it seems as though the Americans are finally taking a backseat. In fact, the Californian festival is doing well with its billing of international acts with some great British acts on there too.
Acts to look forward to outside of the aforementioned Australians include Saturday headliner, Jack White, as well as Sunday headliner, Drake, Mac DeMarco, Azealia Banks, Lykke Li, George Ezra, Royal Blood, alt-J, Kasabian, Marina and the Diamonds, Jamie xx, Duke Dumont, and The Orwells.
