It’s been eight long years since Patti Smith and her band last played in Australia and nearing forty-one years since the release of her first and most celebrated recording Horses, it’s safe to say her performance is not one to be missed!
The Lumineers make their way back to the Bluesfest stage in 2017 after a solid three-year stint touring. Also, let’s not forget that they made the cut for President Barack Obama’s Spotify playlist, who can argue with the guy at the WhiteHouse!
Expect to be wooed by the incredibly talented Laura Mvula, a UK soul singer-songwriter who has been compared to the likes of Nina Simone and who’s sophomore album The Dreaming Room (2016) has been nominated for a 2016 Mercury Prize for Album of the Year.
You can peep the artist playing schedule here and you can already purchase tickets here. The 28th Annual Bluesfest is to be held over the Easter long weekend in Byron Bay, Thursday 13th to Monday 17th April 2017. We’d suggest securing your place as soon as you can if this line-up announcement is anything to go by it is sure to be an extended weekend to remember.
