After Trip (2012) and Community (2014), Melbourne indie-pop artist Ali Barter will release her third EP, AB-EP on September 4. Recorded at The Aviary in Abbotsford, the six-track EP features new single, ‘Blood,’ a 90s callback featuring a powerful vocal performance and heart-wrenching lyrical content. ‘Blood’ follows earlier release, ‘Hypercolour,’ a stripped back track that follows on from ‘Blood’ on the EP. The EP was co-written and produced with Oscar Dawson of Holy Holy with mixing completed by Stephen Mowat.
Barter has spent time touring with groups such as The War on Drugs, Phosphorescent and Husky, gradually honing her sound for the new EP. To coincide with the release of her new EP, Ali Barter will be playing two launch shows with Ben Wright Smith.
AB-EP will be released on September 4 through Ronnie Records.
