Returning this November for its 11th incarnation, The AGE Music Victoria Awards has unveiled a star-studded lineup to celebrate the event, which will combine the awards with hard hitting live spectacle.
The event will be one of the centrepieces of the 2016 Melbourne Music Week program, with all of the Awards formalities completed earlier in the evening to allow for one big After Party open to the general public from 8.30pm.
Expect a cross section of both Melbourne and Australian music industry identities to be in attendance with the likes of community radio stalwarts Triple R 102.7FM and PBS 106.7FM co-presenting the event. Kicking off the afterparty will be the likes of Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Camp Cope and Tash Sultana.
Returning for their yearly collaborative dosage, members from the RockWiz Band will once again form The EG AllStars, who will be joined on stage by guests Paul Dempsey, Gareth Liddiard, Kylie Auldist, REMI, Pierce Brothers, Alex Lahey, Gawurra and Freya Josephine Hollick, performing their best songs of the year.
A carefully selected panel of industry experts select the nominees for the awards each year in categories representing a variety of genres, venues and festivals. Music Victoria and The Age are delighted to welcome iconic community broadcaster Triple R 102.7FM into The Age Music Victoria Hall of Fame. Celebrating their 40th birthday, Triple R has shaped and inspired the culture of Melbourne since 1976, housing over 60 diverse programs with over 440,000 listeners per week.
