Last month Melbourne darkwave duo Activities of Daily Living launched their self-titled EP tape with a performance at The Tote Upstairs with guests Vacuum, Regional Curse and Hemlock Ladder. The duo comprised of Jonnine Nokes and Chloe Turner first met years ago while studying at art school, and have been fans of each other’s creative endeavours ever since, eventually joining together to make music.

The self-titled EP starts off with the moody and dark single ‘None Of Your Business’ a minimalist and synth-heavy track. The EP continues in ahypnotic way, blending together cohesively. Glitches, ominous synths and haunting vocals feature heavily across the four track release. The EP touches on various topics from gender to body ownership. It makes for an emotional and moving listen.
The ‘Activities of Daily Living’ EP is available for purchase at the band’s Bandcamp page as a digital album or a cassette tape.

You can also check out their previously released singles ‘Consumption’ and ‘None Of Your Business’ on their Soundcloud page.
