Sutton Projects will tonight launch their latest exhibition ‘Sculpture: Hinkley, Newman, Sands‘ at their Fitzroy project space which is set to run for the best part of this month.
Featuring works from three Australian artists, the exhibition highlights Matt Hinkley, Elizabeth Newman, and Luke Sands‘s ability to incorporate both found and made objects, as well as appropriated materials in a non-traditional sense of abstract craftsmanship, to present unique sculptural forms.
With University degrees up their sleeves and a plethora of local and international shows, the three artists have disregarded their art school techniques, to join forces in this contemporary presentation of 21st century sculptural explorations.
‘Sculpture: Hinkley, Newman, Sands’ opens tonight at Sutton Gallery’s Project Space from
6-8pm and will run until June 27.
