There has been more than 240 people have been charged with drug related offences after the Stereosonic events held in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne over the past few days.

Amongst the “significant amount” of contraband found by police across the events were MDMA/ecstasy, cocaine, cannabis, LSD, methylamphetamine and GHB.
In relation to the arrests, Queensland Police have made a statement to festival goers about the risks of illicit drugs at music festivals

“Police would like to take this opportunity to remind the public of the health risks associated with the consumption of illicit drugs, which can prove fatal,” QPS said.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Pilkington of Victorian Police said, “At the end of the day, as a user, you really have no idea what you are putting in your body, and you have no idea what it will do to you.”
