So by now, pretty much everyone has heard of the epic lineup for Falls Festival. If you weren’t able to nab tickets for the four-day News Years bender – fear not.  A bunch of sideshows have been announced for your favourite acts. Best bit? You won’t need to worry about slumming it in the fields when attending the sideshows. Below is your ultimate guide to Falls Festival sideshows.

Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher, one of the bigger throwbacks at Falls, has announced he’ll be doing sideshows across Sydney and Melbourne. If you want to belt it out to ‘Wonderwall,’ these sideshows allow you to do it prior to the release of his debut solo album As You Were. Not only will he be performing Oasis’ classic hits, but Liam Gallagher will now showcase his solo material as well. His previous tour across the UK and Ireland sold out, so be sure to quickly grab some tickets here if you’re keen.

Run The Jewels

Supported by Flatbush Zombies, rap duo Run The Jewels are kicking off their first headline tour in Australia since 2014. Performing in January in Sydney and Melbourne, the boys will be performing iconic tracks off albums like Run The Jewels 3, Meow The Jewels and Run The Jewels 2. Foster the People

Foster the People will be playing some epic sideshows with the help of some special guests across Melbourne and Sydney. Best known for their catchy and iconic single ‘Pumped Up Kicks,’ the band knows how to get its audience grooving. Foster the People have nabbed a Billboard Music Award, and have scored nominations for a Grammy, BRIT, NME, and Teen Choice Award. The band have also performed at some epic festivals, including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and Coachella. The Kooks

The Kooks are returning to Australia to celebrate their freshly released Best Of album. The band is only playing two Falls Festival sideshows at Festival Hall and Hordern Pavillion. The Kooks’ debut track ‘Inside In/Inside Out’ has now been dubbed platinum five times, and their three studio albums highlight the band’s awesome contribution to music. Vince Staples

After selling out his shows in 2016, Vince Staples is back for Falls Festival with some epic sideshows. Performing in Newtown, Melbourne, Wellington and Auckland, Vince Staples will be playing throughout January. Fleet Foxes

Bringing their soulful and rustic tracks to Australia’s shores, Fleet Foxes are back to perform their sophomore album Helplessness Blues. Fleet Foxes will be playing at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Wednesday January 3, and as its their only sideshow, tickets are sure to sell out quickly.

Jungle

London-based soul-funk band Jungle are back after their sold out 2015 Aussie tour. Their instant classic ‘Busy Earnin” has earned the seven-piece band international acclaim, and ensures their sideshows promise big things. Everything Everything

Everything Everything have released three killer albums, and have become one of the biggest and most admired bands in the UK. DRAM

Playing a single show at 170 Russell Street Melbourne, Does Real Ass Music (DRAM) is performing straight off his debut record Big Baby D.R.A.M. He is best known for his epic single ‘Broccoli,’ which features Lil Yachty and has nabbed 396 million streams on Spotify. DRAM has collaborated with Chance the Rapper, the Gorillaz, Erykah Badu, SZA and Calvin Harris, and has performed at Coachella and Austin City Limits. Find more details DRAM here.

Flint Eastwood

Jax Anderson, better known by her stage name Flint Eastwood, is an American pop musician who’ll be playing her banger tunes at Falls Festival. Alongside this, she’ll be performing a burst of sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne after blowing away crowds at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Saquatch. Dave

Handsome People and Astral People present Dave’s sideshow at Howler in Melbourne. London hip-hop artist Dave, is only 19-years-old and has already received international acclaim for his debut freestyle.
