‘Lucky Stars’ is a song that beckons its listeners to engage with its honest and striking lyrics.
The second single off pop quartet Totally Mild’s upcoming album Her, ‘Lucky Stars’ is a stripped back piano ballad. While the song’s composition is a simple one, the vocals take centre stage. Its humble and genuine lyrics, sung by frontwoman Elizabeth Mitchell are a personal tribute.
‘Lucky Stars is a love song to a band,’ she says. ‘It’s about being thankful for the good things in an uncertain situation.’
‘Lucky Stars’ differs from its kinetic forerunner, ‘Today Tonight’, which topped the AMRAP charts and earned rave from a number of media outlets. The two songs act as a tasting platter for what Totally Mild is capable of.
Their second album Her is out on 23 Feb 2018 on vinyl LP, CD and digital. You can stream/download ‘Lucky Stars’ now from the Chapter webstore and Bandcamp, or from tomorrow via all good digital stores.
Totally Mild play Chapter Music’s 25th birthday/Xmas party at the Tote Hotel on Saturday December 16, with The Stevens and more. Tickets here.
