Rural Victorian native Liv Carteledge‘s new single is as charming as it is arresting. There are folky undertones melded with modern elements that allow for a unique, full bodied and colourful sound. Her delivery is engaging, with her accent and annunciation giving the whole track a rather fresh tone.
Liv has music flowing through her veins – as a young girl, she would play music with her father – “Dad showed me many tricks of the trade, one of them being how to strum a chord on guitar on the couch at my Gran and Pops house in Bendigo and from that moment I was sold.” ‘You Got Me High’ is a sweet and visceral display of raw emotion, with relatable lyric themes of romantic longing. This rising star is sure to make waves in the future, and we simply can’t wait to hear more from her.
