With Valentine’s Day comes flowers, chocolates and confessions of undying love – even for record labels.

Milk! Records and Bedroom Suck have launched the Split Singles Club: a collaborative project to showcase talent from their label roster in the name of music, friendship and love.

The idea blossomed between Bedroom Suck director Joe Alexander and Milk! Records co-founder Jen Cloher. The project aims to highlight the spirit of Melbourne’s music scene while using the opportunity to showcase artists people may not have heard of before.

The Split Singles Club is a collection of limited edition 7-inch vinyls, mailed to subscribers over the course of three months. Every vinyl will include a track from each label on either side – making a total of six volumes and 12 tracks (Digital download included). The collection features tracks from the likes of Courtney Barnett, Blank Realm and Jade  Imagine – to name a few.

Subscribers will be treated to a specially curated pairing of songs in addition to six original artworks by Steph Hughes and six short film teasers by Hayden Sommerville. It’s the gift that just keeps on giving.
