We’re so excited to be premiering the new EP from rising West Coast stars Oh White Mare. Following on from their singles ‘Throw Me A Line’ and ‘Outsiders’ the band build on their garage sound and take it to new places over the length of the EP.
Recorded at Perth’s famous Debaser Studio’s and mastered by the well respected Brian Lucey who has mastered work for The Arctic Monkeys and The Black Keys, All The Modern Lovers is a prime example of a group of musicians working together seamlessly. Vocalist and guitarist Ross Wood has said that “the quality and construction of the EP is something we are proud of, with each track offering something a little different – but ties together as a body of work that really represents the band.”
There is a thematic linkage between each of the tracks, but Ross is right in saying that they all possess a different energy from one another – which is part of what makes this release so enjoyable. There are some truly infectious hooks on display here, a moody midnight dirtiness, and an ironic element married to a distinctly West Coast vibe which serves to set the release apart.
To celebrate the release, Oh White Mare are throwing a Perth launch party at Babushka this Saturday 22nd April 2017.
