Love dogs? Who doesn’t? Australian dance phenomenons Peking Duk have dropped the official music video for pop banger ‘Stranger’ feat. Swedish sound system Elliphant as well as a pair of very adorable doggos. The duo (Peking Duk, not the dogs) teamed up with US production house Chisel Pixel and Sia‘s ‘Cheap Thrills‘ director Lior Molcho to deliver the best canine-infused aesthetic for the clip.
After conceiving the idea with Elliphant in a Stockholm pub, Peking Duk‘s Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles say they wanted to capture “those times where you want to keep the night going, and preferably with someone else riding that same wave as you. When it’s done right it can be magical.” The video itself follows a small white dog and a black doberman after a Peking Duk concert, floating above the city, breaking into a pet shop for a sneaky, romantic dinner, and gazing at the fish tanks before they’re finally caught. “Deep down inside we’re all dogs,” the band jokes.
‘Stranger’ has raced up the charts to #1 on the ARIA Australian Artists Singles Chart, #3 on the Australian Shazam chart and #5 on the Airplay Chart, and this light-hearted, charming video clip definitely sums up the carefree youthfulness of the song. You can buy the track via iTunes or stream on Spotify.
