Canberra’s electronic duo, Peking Duk are set for their biggest tour to date, a whopping 15-legged outing, lending huge support from Kwame and Kira Puru.
Peking Duk first gained traction by remixing fellow countrymen Passion Pit‘s ‘Take A Walk’ in 2012. Since then, they’ve had tracks supported by Tiesto, Steve Aoki and even picked up Song Of The Year with ‘High’ at the ARIA Music Awards. The boys seem to have found a winning formula, pairing funky synths with chirpy pop vocals, amassing over a staggering 1.6million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
Their latest release ‘Sugar’ sees them team up with singer-songwriter Jack River. Their vision being to make a whole song inspired by the vocals they grew up on, capturing the best sounds of the early 2000’s.
The tour kicks off in Byron Bay and finishes in their hometown, Canberra.
With a third of the shows already sold out, and the rest expected to be snapped up just as quickly, it’s advised to snag yourself a ticket here before the boys hit the road March 28.
