NGV is set to launch its largest ever Friday night music list by hosting a plethora of artists of all genres and styles.
Since the series commenced in 2013, NGV has been presenting artist from various backgrounds, with their Friday Night programming becoming highly regarded amongst live music goers. Following their astonishing full crowds every week, if that was not enough, they now have promised to deliver well renowned Australian greats, international stars and Grammy nominated artists.
American composer Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, whose latest release EARS is full of rich and rewarding sonic, will commence the eight-week programming on Friday 20th of January, with the likes of Olympia, NO ZU, PVT plus a stack of international guests providing sets in the coming weeks.
Along with headline acts performing in the Great Hall, NGV Friday Nights includes after-hours entry to major summer exhibitions David Hockney: Current and Viktor&Rolf: Fashion Artists, DJ’s in the NGV Garden, talks, and access to food stops and bars.
