Amanda Vitartas of Future Popes, Grace Kindellan of Wet Lips and Jenny Mckechnie of Cable Ties have had a busy three months since launching their label Hysterical Records. With such acts as the phenomenal Shrimpwitch on their roster, and each of their acts receiving increasing notoriety, things are looking very good for the local label. Today, they announced that they’ve inked a worldwide distribution deal North Carolina-based music company, Redeye.

Redeye’s Australian rep Antonio Foxlee stated that “we’re excited to be working with Hysterical Records. Everyone at Redeye is stoked we’ll be playing our part to deliver their music to a global audience.”

Hysterical Records co-founder, Amanda Vitartas noted the deal would allow them to provide a more robust level of service to their artists, “we’re incredibly lucky to have the support of Redeye on an international level, as we grow. They work with a lot of labels we’ve admired for a long time and we feel very privileged to be joining such an incredible group of likeminded labels being distributed by the company.”

The first release under the new deal will be Wet Lips’ self-titled debut LP out June 30. Listen to Wet Lips‘ latest track See You Later
