Melbourne punk quartet Gold Class have returned with their driving new single ‘Twist In The Dark’ and have announced a worldwide tour, which includes a visit to Australia. Their 2015 debut It’s You provided a noticeable rise in notoriety for the band, playing Australian festivals Splendour In The Grass and Golden Plains, as well as touring in the US and Europe.
Their eclectic mix of post-punk and indie rock is most evident on the new single, with the combination of hooky guitar riffs and a harsh punk chorus showing the bands development in songwriting and sonic clarity. More new music is due later this year but there’s a good chance you’ll get a sneak peek at one of their many live shows.
You can catch them in Australia next month with the most expensive ticket only $20, which is a great deal for a band of this calibre. Their extensive tour begins on July 1 in Brisbane and concludes on the 22nd in Perth. All dates can be found here.
