Early 2017 is already being carved out as one hell of a year for tours down under, with twin state-side hip-hop icons Atmosphere & Brother Ali set touchdown as part of a dual Australia/New Zealand tour.
The pair of mic-wielding acts will ignite the six-date trans-Tasman tour late February with a brief stopover in Auckland, before jetting west for major city appearances across Australia. Both Atmosphere and Brother Ali have been credited with being a focal driving force behind Minnesota’s thought provoking and undeniably generation inspiring rap culture, which has spanned across a combined 20 album discography.
The tour will no doubt be spearheaded by Atmosphere’s latest full-length release, 2016’s Fishing Blues, which has sprouted a plethora of quality offerings including ‘Ringo’ and ‘Pure Evil’, to name a few.
While lyricist Brother Ali has been slightly quieter on the release front, he still holds an arsenal of well-recognised beatdowns including ‘Uncle Sam Goddamn‘, ‘Self Taught‘ and ‘Forest Whitiker‘, which are expected to come to the forefront throughout the tour.
Tickets can be snapped up as early as Wednesday November 23 at 10am via presale privileges or from Friday November 25 at 10am for general ticketing.
