Allysha Joy (front woman of neo-soul collective 30/70 and Mondegreen) released her debut solo record at Northside Records yesterday. To celebrate the release, Allysha Joy will be showcasing her jazz-infused, soulful voice at the Evelyn every Wednesday in May. Her new 7” record will feature two tracks, with the single being FNFL, a dedication to the traditional and rightful owners of Australian land.
Allysha Joy already has an established performance resumé, having made appearances at the 20th anniversary of Stones Throw Records, Stonnnington Jazz Festival and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, as well as performing alongside the likes of Sampa The Great, Man Made Mountain and MKO.
